Expedition Ships
MS
Island Sky
This deluxe vessel recently underwent a significant refit
and is one of the finest small ships in the world. Built
in 1992, all the cabins are in fact suites with a sitting
room area with good outside views. Those on the lower deck
have portholes, the middle two decks have large picture
windows and the two top decks have patio doors leading
on to a private balcony. Each suite affords considerable
comfort with en-suite bathrooms, large wardrobes and excellent
storage. There are mini-fridges, telephone and towelling
dressing gowns in each suite.

a lounge, elegant bar, library and a single seating dining

MV
Explorer
One of the best known expedition cruise ship in the world, MV
Explorer was also the first custom-built expedition
ship. Small enough to allow you to visit small inlets
and bays, yet large enough to ensure a comfortable and
secure voyage, she has sailed to every corner of the
world. In addition to tenders, there is the added advantage
of the use of the ship's zodiac craft which are ideal
for landings in isolated spots.
With a maximum of 100 passengers, the spacious dining
room accommodates all passengers at one sitting and is
arranged on an open seating basis. There is an 'open bridge'
allowing you to participate in the events on board.

Most expedition vessels have been converted to expedition
vessels with the exception of the Oceanic Princess ,
which has been specifically designed for expedition cruising

she can accommodate 76 passengers in air conditioning comfort.

and shallow draft enable exploration of secluded waterways
beyond the reach of bigger vessels. A fleet of motorised
landing craft can be launched in minutes for spontaneous
landings on small islands.
The spacious Observation Lounge and elegant dining room
are window-lined so that the outside world is always in
view.
An onboard naturalist and historian explain and recap
each day's event in informal talks.
Clipper

Register, and is one of only a handful of vessels specifically
designed for Polar cruising. Her ice-strengthened hull
and advanced technology satellite navigation and communication
equipment enable her to operate safely in the most remote
corners of the world.
Visits ashore will be aboard Zodiac landing craft. These
ideal boats carrying between 10-12 passengers allow direct
access to beaches and landing points which would not be
possible with conventional tenders.

an experienced expedition tam of naturalists, geologists
and historians who will provide daily briefings on the
ship, as well as accompany you on your forays ashore.
