Scenic Vistas & Diverse Cultures of Africa - 31 March 2025
Highlights:
Visit the vast landscapes of Namib, the world's oldest desert
Discover Senegalese folklore and tribal cultures
Explore the remote subtropical island of St. Helena
Join Bolette in Cape Town and take the chance to explore this magnificent city overlooked by iconic Table Mountain before uncovering the history of Kolmanskop from Lüderitz, a ghost town that boomed in the early 1900's diamond mining era before being left deserted. From Walvis Bay, you will have the chance to explore the vast landscapes of the Namib desert, the oldest desert in the world, and witness the sea of pink hues at Swakopmund Lagoon from visiting flamingoes. Immerse yourself in Senegalese culture and experience an effervescent folklore performance by the Lebou ethnic group, whose society focuses on ancestral spirits. Bolette will then continue on to Jamestown, the capital of the remote island of St. Helena, famously known as the final resting place of Napoleon, and home to the 699 steps of Jacob's Ladder snaking up the craggy hillside.
Your time spent on board Bolette is 21 nights, but please allow for your flight from the UK to Cape Town.
